I really enjoy coming here for lunch. The ladies go above and beyond in customer service. The attention to detail on how the food is cooked with that traditional homestyle cooking is simply delicious. The food here is full of lots of flavor. Definitely a personal favorite for The City of Los Angeles Terminal Island Operators lunchtime. I appreciate the cleanliness and customer service.

Man, I have really been enjoying going to Guanajuato market a couple of times a month for breakfast. If you get their early, you can get chilaquiles, potatoes with chorizo, nopales (usually sold with the potatoes), beans and rice. It's very good. If you get there in the am in a weekday, you can get eggs with that stuff too. They also have chicharones, carnitas, salsa, que so Fresca, and a ton more. One day I made the tragic mistake of getting there late one day, and it was almost nearly sold out. All they had left was something called boches. I had never heard of it, and the person behind the counter gently suggested that I might not like it. I got it anyway. It turns out that boches are pig stomached. I think they cooked them similarly to carnitas, which was cooking them until tender, then frying them a bit. They were good, but I wouldn't recommend it for everyone. Nice deep pork flavor, with a good amount of chew. I haven't gotten anything from the butcher dude yet, but I look forward to it. Super good! I'll make this a stop along the way each time I go to Acacia Bakery when I go.

This is my go to spot in town. They have the best carnitas burritos and deal on them on Wednesdays. For the price with the quantity and quality you honestly can't beat it. The workers are always so kind. I've been coming to this meat market for years mostly for the hot food. But even the meat section is good. It's a perfect little market with some really great food.
